First Grade Teachers
Patricia Benavides

Ms. Benavides is excited to begin her 7th year at Cambridge Elementary and her 7th year teaching first grade. She was born and raised in Mexico and moved to California in the summer of 2019. She brings 21 years of experience in education and is passionate about creating a warm, joyful, and engaging classroom where students feel valued, supported, and excited to learn. She especially enjoys watching her first graders grow in confidence, independence, and love for learning throughout the school year.
Outside of teaching, Ms. Benavides enjoys spending time with her family. Her oldest daughter Bianca attends Diablo Valley College, while her three younger children Carlos, Scarlett and Charlize, they are students at Cambridge Elementary. She loves traveling, discovering new places, and creating memories with her family. Her favorite foods are sushi and tacos, her favorite drink is horchata, and her favorite color is red. She also enjoys dining at El Patrón, one of her favorite restaurants. As a proud member of the Cambridge community, she feels especially grateful to teach at the same school where three of her children are growing and learning.
Meghan Bramhall

Ms. B is thrilled to be starting their 11th year at Cambridge and 7th year in first grade. Ms. B has received a BA in English literature, teaching credential, and a Masters of Arts in Teaching with a focus on social emotional learning from Saint Mary's College.
As a neurodivergent learner, Ms. B strives to provide a safe and engaging learning environment to support student success.
When not teaching, Ms. B enjoys watching Formula 1 races, needlepointing, drinking Diet Coke, and watchings movies with their husband and two cats.
Stacey Flurscheim

Mrs. Flurscheim is entering her 7th year at Cambridge Elementary. She has taught 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade, but holds 1st grade deep in her heart. She holds a Masters of Science in Reading and Literacy, and has a passion for helping students learn to read. In her spare time, she enjoys DIY projects, gardening, and playing music. As an immigrant, she understands the challenges faced by people who begin to call the US home, as well as the additional challenges of raising a family in a new country, away from family. Now that her children are young adults, she also loves and deeply enjoys their time at home.
